Rainbow Skirt in Time Square
It can be hard enough to stick out in a crowd, but when you’re talking about Times Square — one of the most notoriously crowded places in the world — it takes things to a whole different level. That’s why I thought that my trip to this iconic Big Apple location was the perfect time to rock this rainbow skirt.
Admittedly, this rainbow skirt is a little outside of my comfort zone. I’d normally shy away from something so bold. Even with my love for fashion experimentation, I tend to stay within certain boundaries. It’s just easier to wear something “safe” so you know you won’t have regrets later.
That said, when I’m in New York I feel like I can take more risks. In a city that is home to more than 8.4 million people and some of the most breathtaking architecture in the world, it’s easy to feel like you blend in even in your most daring looks.
I love this whimsical rainbow skirt because it channels that bolder and more carefree side of my personality that NYC always seems to bring to the surface. I paired it with my leather jacket (a current favorite) to add a little bit of edge to this flowy bohemian look. It was a look that definitely made a statement, even in a place where everyone is looking up at the lights.
I hope you all had a good weekend! I was over in Miami with my family to support my mother’s ballroom dancing competition. She even placed first!
